Scape Surrey Phase 1 was the first PBSA development developed by HG Living in a joint venture with our partners at GCP under their Scape Student Living brand. The property has since been absorbed into a substantially larger residential living complex including further student accommodation and co living apartments also developed by our joint venture and operated under the name Scape Surrey. The scheme has been a catalyst for regeneration in the Walnut Tree Close development area of Guildford.
HG Living secured the land and detailed planning permission on behalf of the joint venture. Construction was completed by main building contractor HG Construction in Summer 2015. The property was pre-sold on a forward commitment basis to GCP Plc (The UK’s first PBSA REIT) and the sale completed in September 2015 with the property 100% occupied at completion. The property continues to rank amongst the most popular private student residences in Guildford year on year.
